Yamaha Sledding in 2010 Winter Olympics

Canadian Forces Soldiers patrol a backcountry trail on Yamaha 2009 RS Venture 2 up touring snowmobiles during Operation PODIUM in Whistler, B.C.. 

Operation PODIUM is part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games security. The Canadian Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police will maintain security around Olympic venues and monitor the air, land and sea approaches to Canada's west coast.

It takes many hands and the right equipment to ensure they are prepared to respond to any emergency. The scope and scale of these Games will make it the largest domestic security operation to date in Canadian history.
